Welsch Homebrew Supply is new business, structured as a co-op, so the local home brewing community can pool resources and drive down our collective costs. We've all been impacted by the demise of the local retail shop, this is the solution. The premise is simple, pool bulk orders for ingredients to reduce costs when compared to what's available from other sources. With no local shop that means avoiding a long drive or high costs, or both.

I can't provide everything; some wholesalers won't deal with a retailer that has no storefront. I can however provide a good selection of domestic and imported malts, chemicals, yeast, and soon hops. Take a few moments to look at the current item list.

A few things to consider…the premise is strength in numbers, weight to be specific. Delivery charges are stable up to 2300# per pallet for fermentables and chemicals, a 500# mix and match order only costs $0.25 per pound to ship. That's the minimum order weight we need to make it work. Larger orders get even more efficient. I'm hoping to place at least one order per month, a brewing rhythm so to speak.

Yeast has a minimum purchase requirement of 16 vials, mix or match from the manufacturer so we need to make batch orders. You can check out the White Labs spec sheet at: http://www.whitelabs.com/beer/homebrew_strains.html

I'll keep the list updated as it changes and I'll also get the current inventory added to the page - things that are immediately available.
