2.00 vials English Ale Yeast Liquid yeast. Classic ESB strain best for English style milds, bitters, porters and English style stouts. Leaves a clear beer with some residual sweetness.
1.00 tab Whirlfloc Tablet Fining Aids in clearing yeast and chill haze. Easy to use tablet form.
0.50 tsp Yeast Nutrient Other Gives yeast nutrients for healthy fermentation. Not needed for most beers, but good for those with a high percentage of adjuncts. Add before yeast.

Recipe Notes

Mash - 7g water at 151 for 90 min. Mashout 168 for 10. Collect 13.5g in BK. 60 min boil. Mix lactose/Dutch processed cocoa powder in bowl with wort and add slurry to BK at 15 minutes. Cool, aerate. Pitch at 65 for 3 days, raising temp 1 degree per day afterward until you reach 70. After fermentation rack over 4 oz. Cocoa nibs per carboy. Nibs should be roasted at 170 for 10 minutes. Secondary 10-14 days.
