Big Brew for National Homebrew Day

Join us for the Big Brew on National Homebrew Day! We'll have some lunch (feel free to bring a side to share if you can) Club members will be brewing on-site, we will have any ribbons and scoresheets from Colonail Cup that have not been picked up yet, and we'll have some leftover bottles from Colonial Cup. We'll be doing the big toast at 1:00pm. Feel free to bring some homebrew to share for feedback as usual.

Parking will NOT be at Beer Engineer, their parking lot is not big enough. We have permission to park at nearby Morningside Middleschool and some club members will be available to shuttle people to Beer Engineer.

See the AHA website for more info about the Big Brew and National Homebrew Day, including one of the official recipes for this year's Big Brew: Tha CommUNITY American Lager by LCL's own April Dove!

Christmas Party

Our annual Christmas blowout, featuring THE JOCKEYBOX. Chris Wessel will be making BBQ for everyone. New officers will be announced! Big raffle befitting the club! This is technically a regular meeting but it's mostly funny business.

Please bring the following items to make the party a success:

  1. Homebrew to share. Comment below if you plan to bring a keg.
  2. An appetizer/hors d'oeuvre. We will need nibbles.
  3. Prizes (e.g., beer, equipment) to DONATE to our raffle.

Notes:

  • Neighborhood access: The Rousseaus live in a gated community. The gate code is #7829.
  • Parking: There will be limited space in the Rousseaus' driveway, but you are welcome to park there (just beware of blocking others in). Most of you will need to park in the street. DO NOT PARK IN THE GRASS - all four wheels must be on the pavement per community rules.
