Imperial Rye Black IPA

I cant take complete credit for this.  I think I got it from Zymurgy and then made some tweaks.  Its the Wookie Jack from Firestone Walker.

Its an absolutely fantastic Imperial black IPA recipe.  LOTS of hops.  The original recipe called for some Cara-Rye malt that the local homebrew stores dont carry.  So I substituted some crystal 60 and additional Rye.  You can leave out the cane sugar if you dont want the higher ABV - we were looking for something in the Triple IPA category.

This was a huge hit at the Brew Ha-ha festival.  People were coming back for seconds and thirds.
